From Georgia's Perspective

Georgia has discovered the camera & thinks she is quite the photographer.  Here are a few examples of her work, at least the ones where she actually captured someone or something - or shall I say part of someone or something.  I'll spare you the 100+ pics or so on my camera of the grass or things so out of focus I can't even tell what it is - time to hit delete while she is sleeping.

The first sign that one will be hatching soon.  Even in the egg at this stage they start cheeping.

April Snowman

"Mommy, when is it going to be Spring?"

Well, not today, April, 17, 2009 - it has snowed and rained on & off for the last 48hours!!  10" of new snow in addition to 1.5" of rain.  I think we had our spring in February.  Hope it comes back soon.

Starting the Coop

The eggs are incubating, 20 of them, in hopes of getting 6 chicks to keep!  Some may hatch as early as Monday.  We'll keep you posted.  Along with the neighbors, we started building the chicken coop last weekend.  We made some good progress, but there is still a lot to be done - good thing the chicks won't need their outdoor yard for quite some time.
